Cumbria Galoppen event Subberthwaite Common. Parking signed from A5092 at GR: SD 257 850. Hardstanding parking. Whistles compulsory and cagoules may be compulsory. NO DOGS. Courses: Yellow to Brown. Long distance races, 20/15/10km. Venue in Eskdale on newly resurveyed and extended Blea, Eel and Burnmoor Tarns area.

Copeland Chase
The parking for the event will be in a field opposite Brook House, Boot in Eskdale, at GR175007. So long as the ground conditions remain fairly dry. There is a pay and display car park close by which will be used if very wet. Cost is £8 seniors (£2 discount for BO members), and £5 juniors. Courses 20/15/10km. Starts 9-11am. Bleaberry Galoppen Event
The Galoppen event for Bleaberry Fell has been rescheduled for December 13th due to a clash with British Schools Champs which is being held in NEOA on November 22nd.

Club of the Year 2009
West Cumberland Orienteering Club were named as Club of the Year 2009 in the annual competition run by British Orienteering. The award will be presented at the AGM to be held at the JK this Easter. A lot of effort by many, many club members has seen WCOC grow over the last five or six years, after a very successful campaign to achieve Club Mark status.
